Cory serves as the Chief of Staff to Cresset’s Chief Legal Officer (CLO). In this role, Cory provides critical strategic support to the CLO and the legal department. She works closely with the CLO to prioritize and execute firmwide initiatives and to ensure that the legal team is aligned with the firm’s overall objectives.
Cory also serves as Corporate Secretary and as Head of Legal Operations at Cresset. As Corporate Secretary, she is responsible for maintaining corporate records, drafting and maintaining corporate governance policies, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. She also supports various internal committees by preparing materials for meetings and ensuring the timely completion of action items. In her role as the Head of Legal Operations, Cory oversees the legal department’s process improvement, knowledge capture, and technology initiatives. She works to optimize workflows and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Her experience and knowledge have made her a valuable asset to the legal department and Cresset.
A resident of Chicago since 2007, Cory is originally from Champaign, Illinois, where she attended the University of Illinois, graduating with a B.S. in psychology. In her spare time, Cory loves to spend time with her husband, Drew, and their two rescue greyhounds, Benny and Birdie.
