Shari Young Lewis

Managing Director, Private Funds Group

Shari is a Managing Director of Private Equity in Cresset Partners’ Private Funds Group. She focuses on private equity funds and co-investments across buyout, platform buy-and-build, and other control-oriented strategies. Shari brings more than 20 years of experience building private equity investment programs for institutional investors. Most recently she was a partner in the private equity practice at Aon Investments, where she focused on buyout, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, and infrastructure investments. She also managed and advised institutional investors on launching and scaling private market investment programs. Prior to joining Aon, Shari had extensive principal investing and investment banking experience.

Shari earned her BBA with honors from Emory University Goizueta Business School and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Shari resides in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago with her husband and two children. She is an Advisory Council Member of the Illinois Growth and Innovation Fund, is on the Midwest Steering Committee for the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity, and is an active member of Private Equity Women Investor Network. Shari also serves on the Board of Directors for the Little Giraffe Foundation.
